It would be easy to scoff at Patricks, an Australian salon brand that sells in Selfridges, Harrolds and Mr Porter, and has garnered rave reviews online. But is it really worth the price tag?
We spent a month with the products and found out. Here’s everything you need to know about the brand.
1. ND1 Natural Deodorant
Patricks ND1 Natural Deodorant is a natural alternative to antiperspirants and a true technological advancement, without aluminium salts, sulfates, parabens, talc and other chemicals. Made using groundbreaking green chemistry, it inhibits the growth of odour-causing bacteria for 24 hours and has a beautiful Bergamot, Lemon, Neroli, Jasmine and Musk scent. This vegan deodorant is enriched with Amazonian brown clay to eliminate impurities, coconut oil to keep the skin hydrated, and zinc which acts as a skin protectant. It is also made with sustainable ingredients, including Tapioca Starch and the outer casing of the product is a carbon negative bio-plastic sourced from plants.
This product is a game changer, according to Lady, it prevents sweating, is long-lasting and has an exquisite scent. She believes that it is a high-performance natural deodorant that’s worth the price.
2. FS1 Face Scrub
Patricks has a whole range of powerful dual-action scrubs that both physically and chemically exfoliate your skin while deeply hydrating it and promoting cell regeneration. FS1 is one of these and it uses volcanic sand and crushed diamonds to unclog pores, lift dead skin cells, and leave your complexion feeling smooth. It helps improve skin tone, reduce pore size and fade small scars. The innovative blend of micro particles in 3 sizes de-flakes, reduces ingrown hairs and preps skin for a close shave. Infused with musk and packed with anti-aging peptides, multivitamins and anti-irritants it leaves skin smoother, clearer and well nourished.
Made in Australia. Vegan friendly.
*Lightly scented with a luxurious fragrance of Leather, Patchouli and Jasmine. Non-comedogenic, dermatologist tested, paraben free and cruelty free.
3. FS1 Moisturiser
Patricks FS1 Moisturiser is a mattifying yet moisturising emulsion enriched with Superleggera (a powerful yet lightweight complex). This skincare essential is expertly engineered for shine-prone complexions, with oil-reducing ingredients performing at both the surface and beneath the skin to clarify pores and absorb excess sebum.
It also boasts multivitamins, anti-irritants and anti-aging peptides to leave skin smoother, clearer and more nourished. The cologne-like aroma of leather, patchouli and jasmine adds to the luxury factor. It comes in a soft metallic tube with dispenser cap.
The Volcanic Sand and Crushed Diamond Face Scrub is an exfoliating treatment that lives up to its name by sloughing away dead skin cells, improving skin tone, reducing ingrown hairs and preparing the skin for a close shave. It contains lactic acid, a mild surface exfoliant that gently removes dullness and improves skin tone, while salicylic acid deeply cleanses pores from within.
4. FS1 Night Cream
It would be easy to scoff at Patrick’s lineup of skincare and hair products, but I’m here to tell you, they actually work. The line was created by an Australian salon owner who took the effort to develop superior products scientifically. All the ingredients are cruelty, sulfate and phthalate-free and vegan-friendly. They also feature a beautiful soft metallic packaging that feels luxurious and chic.
